Scripts in AP Mode

Hi everyone,
Are there any benefits of running scripts in AP mode?
What do I mean...
I have a AC86U as a main router and an AC66U_B1 in AP mode(also connecting the AP node through WAN is the right way of doing it ? or do i have to use LAN).
I have noticed that the node it lets me install scripts on it, but I was wondering if there are any benefits in doing this - as long as the main router handles everything.
Will installing Diversion, Skynet, etc. will help the main router in any way or it will affect it?
Hope it makes sense.
Cheers.

No. APs don't route anything. Those scripts have nothing to do there.
