Seagate FreeAgentGo USB2 drive doesn't hibernate on 68U?

I have my 500Gb Seagate FreeAgentGo USB2 drive connected to the USB3 port on my 68U. I can write to it fine. But several hours later it still looks powered up and is not hibernating? Should it? Is there something in the 68U I need to configure to tell it to do so?

I now believe the drive is entering the 'Standby' state - it was not obvious by observing the provided illumination LEDs on the outside of the unit. I just couldn't detect a noticeable difference between the full illumination vs. 20% illumination the document describes. Poor design, or just yet another indication of my fading faculties. But I was able to feel the drive cease spinning so it does seem to be going into Standby even if the LEDs are glowing.

I'll PM you my paypal address for my $20

Well, that'd nice, but not needed...

Answer - A shared drive, and Samba, needs to check on the various clients that might attach to it, hence the spin-up, the samba server on the Router is doing house keeping...

Please find a friendly charity/group that helps kids to discover computing early on... even a small donation there is pretty cool...
