Security Upgrade in Firmware Upgrade section

Just made the jump from 388.8_4 to 388.9_2 and I noticed a few things like an Asus Agreement that I had to agree to, and a new section under Firmware Upgrade called Security Upgrade, that seems I have no option with it either. Feels like a back door has been installed with this latest firmware. Is there any documentation or explanation about it I can go over rather than what was agreed to for the Asus agreement, and also anything for the Security Upgrade section?

IIRC they're mostly individual posts in existing threads. Basically, this is a non-issue. Search for "Security Upgrade" and "asd".
