New Around Here
Hi!

I want to build a DIY HOME NAS, and my question is: I need separate bootdisk for Linux or simple install it to the data disk (speed lost?)

I assume you are asking if you need a separate boot disk or not. Basically no but as you mentioned you might loose a bit of speed. One of the main things I look at is having your data separate from a OS install. I like keeping things completely separate that way I can move my data disks to another machine fairly easily. Just my opinion though.
