should I change unmanaged switches to NETGEAR ProSafe

I have heard and reading that it would be great to do this.
I am not sure why or if something like this is needed in a home.

Right now I have 3 8 port switched located computers, media center, home entertainment room.

if what you have meets your need, no sense making it more complicated.
The hardware is an accessory to the software - an enabler if you will.
Tell us more what you are doing and then we might be able to give constructive advice.
