Sideband Discussion

I have a setting in my advanced settings of the Linksys EA8500. For the 2.4Ghz, it was set to Auto Sideband. For the 5GHz, it was set to Lower Sideband.

What is this setting doing?

For example, if my auto channel has selected 36 on 5GHz, what would the side band lower be doing and should it be set for auto or upper?

Don't worry too much about that particular screen in the Linksys WebUI - there's a lot of cosmetic issues with that screen.
