Simple SMB router suggestions - 150 users

Hello,

Can anybody give me a suggestion for a new router to connect to a cable modem. I don't need anything special that a basic home router can do, except for the fact that it needs to support about 150 users who surf the web, use skype, etc.. I do NOT need wireless, VPN, etc. Obviously, I'd like something easy to configure and not too expensive (less than $100 to $150, hopefully).

Our current router chokes 2x daily and needs to be rebooted to continue working. I've searched the reviews and the forum but I'm still not sure which router to choose.

What are you using for your current router and what are the up/down speeds of your Internet service?

For that price tag, I can't come up with anything. For most of our SMB clients....we've installed a truckload of the Linksys/Cisco RV0 series. For a larger network of your size I'd start at the RV082 size..even the RV016. The smaller RV042 model is closer to your price range, but IMO it's too small for your network of 150. You're up in the "upper-Medium" range of SMB.

And what we have focused on lately, due to security and other malware troubles of the internet, is UTM appliances instead of plain NAT routers. They have REALLY cut down on malware issues such as the ever popular rogue/fake alert malware out there these days.

HPs A-MSR20 series is great too.

With a network of your size, you want a good business grade model that can handle a high amount of concurrent sessions..into the thousands.
