Hello,

Currently i am studying to Microsoft Azure. I would like to know if it is possible to create a site to site VPN between Microsoft Azure and my N66u (direct connected to the ISP internet). And if it is possible: is it worth it, is the N66U fast enough? I a have already 2 OpenVPN servers running. (1 site to site and 1 for mobile, both tun)

Microsoft Azure requires a IPsec IKE S2S VPN Tunnel. I don't know if the Asus WRT/Merlin software it supports. In the gui i see only OpenVPN and PPTP/L2TP Client.

Here is what i found to create it via Microsoft Azure side: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/az...ay-howto-site-to-site-resource-manager-portal

List of supported devices:

About the VPN Gateway in Azure:

Hopefully can some one explain if it could work with the N66U. It is better to have an idea/answer if it could be working, then finding out during the build that it wont work.

Thanks.

IPSEC is not supported at the GUI level, you'd have to implement everything yourself manually - and performance won't be pretty if it does work properly.

Thanks for your answer Merlin! So if the performance inst pretty, then i think i will not going to used it. Maybe i can create a the IPSEC tunnel on my Qnap nas, i will do some research to decide if it is worth it to try out. My excuse for the late answer, saw your reaction but i didn't take the time to response fast.
