Slow wifi speeds on RT-N66U

Hi,

I cannot figure out why I am not getting full speeds on 5ghz or 2.4ghz on this router. When I use the built in router in my modem, I get full speeds, but when I put this router in between, the speeds are max 40mbps, when I should be getting 150mbps.

It has something to do with the settings, because my modem has been put into bridge mode and only using this router.

I have tried to play around with all the settings, currently using only 5ghz and nothing has worked. QOS is disabled.

What else can I try?

Thanks.

Need more info.

What firmware, what settings are you currently using and what have you tried to fix it?

Best to do a full reset, power cycle the router and manually setup the ISP as needed. Don't changes settings just because that is what you had done before; change settings one at a time as needed and if needed.
