Which will be the best network security for small business. I have about 20 computers.

I will suggest you to have firewall appliance installed in the computer network. I am having 35 computers connected in network and I use firewall appliance from WatchGuard Technologies. This (Spam) protects the network computers from viruses, malware, spyware and various others web threats.

This is a very broad question. Too broad to cover completely here. But here are some key points:

- Security is as much about policies and procedures as it is about hardware and software. You must establish and enforce security policies with your employees and train them on the policies. These include proper use of company laptops, phones, etc., how company data is treated, proper email procedures.

- Automatically updated anti-virus software on all machines is a must. I would look at products that check for this and deny network access if proper AV isn't detected. Sonicwall has products that do this.

- These days UTM systems (Unified Thread Management) are suggested for small to medium businesses. These are business-grade appliances that do detailed inspection of traffic as it passes through and blocks or redirects it according to set policies. These can be difficult to properly configure, however.

- Proper backup procedures should be in place including offsite backup for business critical data.

There is a lot to consider. I would seek out a good, reputable local small-business IT consultant or firm to help set all this up.

Would you want your network security provided by a company that hires spammers to promote their products? I recommend taking a pass on WatchGuard Technologies.

This thread has not seen activity since December ( in the header line ), but more quizzical question is, what does "antivirus + network firewall + network backup" mean in the context of this discussion?

It is a succinct answer to the OP's question ("Which will be the best network security for small business"). It is also supposed to distract you from noticing that Novosoft hires spammers to promote their backup solution (by posting filler in other threads).
