ssh from outside

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but a search for "ssh" in this forum did not provide any answers. Simple Q: Asus stock ROM - is there a way I could access the router securely (via ssh/scp), to remotely dump a new firmware and then upgrade?

Stock FW does not support SSH.
