Streaming problem with RT-N66R

Hello everyone,

I'm completely new when it comes to routers and their abilities. I purchased the RT-N66R and I have a 6TB external hard drive plugged into it. I have it set up to watch movies through the AiCloud but around the 40 minute mark, the sound and video stop. I try and close the video out and try and watch it and nothing happens. I don't even know where to begin to fix this problem. If anyone has any fixes/ideas, I'm all ears.

What firmware are you using? Is the external hdd going to sleep? The sound and video stops, does that mean it gets disconnected from the router or from AiCloud?
