Synology-N66U-WDTV live = movie stutter

StefanK

New Around Here
Hello
I recently upgraded from a dlink655 to the Asus N66u. Sadly this has caused some problems regarding playback with my wired wdtv live media players.
The players stream from a synology 207+ and both the WDTV's and the synology are connected directly to the N66u. Everything worked flawlessly with the 655 but now the movies stutter, like the files are buffering.
If I connect a laptop to the Cable instead of the wdtv's the movie plays fine.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do or what could be wrong? I have tried turning jumbo frames on and off with no effect.

Thanks in advance.

See if your NAS has an option about Flow Control on its networking settings. If there is, make sure that option is enabled - it is required when you have a mixture of gigabit and megabit network interfaces on your LAN.

I also recommend leaving Jumbo Frames disabled everywhere, as it's more trouble to get working properly than it's worth.

Hello and thanks for answering.
Jumbo frames are disbled in the NAS and the router.

There is no option on the 207+ about flow controls I am affraid.
