Does anybody know how big the system log is allowed to get before it resets? I've got 15 devices on my home network so dhcp logging floods the log. I'm kind of scared to disable it as last time I did it shut down the DHCP server.

It currently rotates after reaching 256K, so no need to worry about it - plenty of headroom there.

Keep in mind you can also disable DHCP logging from the LAN -> DHCP page if you don't really care about those log entries.
