Thecus' N2810Pro Linux NAS gets Intel’s N3160 quad-core processor along with 4 GB of DDR3 memory, expandable to 8 GB.
Designed for both SMB and home users, the new 2-bay N2810Pro is a step up from the N2810, offering twice the RAM and processor cores than its predecessor. Also, the new N2810Pro comes with the redesigned ThecusOS 7.0 operating system that includes built-in apps such as Photo Station, File Center, and Thecus’ own App Center.
For higher-end 4K video playback, the N2810Pro also includes both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, and adds an SPDIF connector for better multimedia sound quality.
Other features include VPN for secure remote access, two LAN ports that support link aggregation, three USB 3.0 ports, RAID 0, 1 and JBOD volumes,and Thecus’ System Failover for uninterrupted availability.
The Thecus N2810Pro will start shipping on June 30th. Pricing was not announced.
