TM-AC1900 Slow Wifi

New Around Here
Hi all,

I've been having trouble with wifi on the router from the day I got it (ethernet seems fine). Wifi can be unusably slow and it sometimes fails to complete DSLReports' upload speed test (as you can see, below). I'm wondering if there are some settings I should tweak. Here are a couple of perhaps useful facts.

—I just checked and have the latest firmware (T-Mobile version).
—I have reduced the speed in an attempt to improve quality. Set to 80Mbps down, 10Mbps up.
—That reduction does not seem to have taken effect.
—Ethernet DSLReports tests give similar graphs but haven't failed the upload test.
—Signal strength seems fine (bars look good) but I've installed an extender.

I attach a grab of my most recent DSLReports result. The main one is from two rooms away from the router. The bottom one (numbers only) is from three feet away. Obviously, the download speeds are fine, right now, but this doesn't last. Turning the router on and off helps for a while, but drives me crazy. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Thanks!
