Hello,
I have an RT-AX86U with the asus-Merlin firmware 3004.388.9_2. I also have vnstat installed to track my usage. A couple months ago it stopped tracking my usage, I forced updates and restarted and seemed to be working again. Now when I check it my upload usage has spiked massively.
I was trying to figure out what may be going on, but it doesn't seem to be specifically with vnstat but with the firmware itself. Below is the image for the monthly on the traffic analyzer that agrees.
When I look at the realtime, it shows on WAN almost the same upload as download while watching youtube. The wired side though doesn't show the same (no real wireless usage either).
I doubt this is isolated to the specific merlin changes, I would assume its going on with the asus firmware as well. Any idea why its overstating upload bandwidth? I tried restarting the router but it didn't fix this.
