Just received an email from Ubiquiti about a service interruption for their "Ubiquiti Cloud Services".
I like the fact they notified me. Unfortunately there is no service restoration date stated. The the only recourse is providing my own local controller for now.
At this point I am glad most of the wireless services I manage are on another platform. I would state the other platform but this is mostly about copying a notification to current Ubiquiti cloud users.

mFi Cloud User,
The mFi Cloud (mfi.ubnt.com) will be taken down on Nov 2nd, 2013 at 12:00am for scalability and security improvements. It will be relaunched at a later date. Please migrate your existing devices to a local controller: http://www.ubnt.com/download#mFi:Controller
Thank you,
The mFi Team"
