New Around Here
Hi guys,
My desktop, which has a 802.11n card is not able to connect to a 802.11g Belkin router. My 2 other laptops have been running fine for years with that router but this desktop is givingme a hard time.It is a a week old desktop, worked fine for first 2 days with amazing speeds and suddenly stopped even connecting to the router & even if connected, is dead slow even to open google.com...helpme out guys...all suggestions are appreciated...

Is the problem connection slow or not working at all?

Is the problem just with Internet access or to other LAN machines?

What is the 802.11n card in the desktop?

Actually its both. Hardly connects and even if connected, it's very slow.

I don't have any LAN machines. It is just about the internet as of now.

What is the 802.11n card in the desktop?
It is HP PCI card

If the problem is just with the one machine, try to remember if anything has changed on it, like new software or hardware installed.

Also I'm assuming you have up-to-date functional anti-virus running on it.

You might try a system restore to the time when the system was working ok.
