Unable to Connect To Network with NetGear N300 WiFi Extender

I was using the extender with the AT&T modem NetGear 6200 without a problem. AT&T installed a new modem/router NetGear 7550. Since the new modem was installed, all my PC's, including my laptop and Smartphone worked fine. When I attempted to use my extender, all the lights are on as required and the NetGear_EXE appears on the N300 briefly and goes off. I get a notification on my computer Cannot connect to network. I am using the ASUS RT-AC66U 3x3 802.11C Gigabit Router. The extender recognizes the router and the light is illuminated. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try resetting the extender to factory default and rerunning the extender setup process?

Make sure it's not trying to attach to the Netgear 7550 perhaps...

Is the new Netgear in modem mode? It may be acting as a router and passing out DHCP addresses.

I do not have any idea what mode the modem is in. I also do not know how to check and/or change the mode.
