Unable to ping wireless devices

Asus user

New Around Here
Hi, wondered if anyone has come across this issue, and if there is any fix for it. This is specific to Asus routers with Asus or Merlin firmware. I'm currently using (or attempting to use) a RT-AC56U. Many wireless devices are not accessible, unable to ping and unable to access configuration on wireless security cameras etc. Their IP address is visible though.
Here's a link to a good description of the problem: https://vip.asus.com/forum/view.asp...d_id=11&model=DSL-N55U&SLanguage=en-us&page=1
