Update firmware with entware installed

Is it possible to update firmware version without loosing entware data and apps?

Is there any special procedure to do it?

Yes. Back them up first.

Entware is unaffected by a firmware upgrade. You might want to keep a backup of the JFFS partition just in case (especially with the RT-N66U's dynamic JFFS partition).

The rest is stored on the USB disk, and is untouched.
