Upgrade from AX68U

I've been looking to upgrade my old AX68U but have been reading through the posts re: Asus' WiFi 7 models and it seems none are really stable yet. Is that correct? Best to just stay with the AX68 for now?

AX86U Pro or AX88U Pro are still the most recommended here. If you do not need WIFI7 don't.

I have been using the RT-BE88U since November, and I haven't encountered any stability issues. No reboots, no client disconnections (I have a bunch of different devices, including the IoT ones). It's rock solid. The only broken stuff is related to the Trend Micro engine: it doesn't properly categorize traffic, and Adaptive QoS is broken (from what I heard from other guys), but that applies to all Wi-Fi 7 models, and it doesn't affect stability in any way. If you don't use QoS, you should be fine.

That said, you shouldn't upgrade your router just because there are newer models. It really depends on your connection speed and your devices. For speeds up to 1 Gbps, any top-tier Wi-Fi 6 model should be fine, giving around 800 Mbps over Wi-Fi. If your speed is more than 1 Gbps, then a new Wi-Fi 7 router makes sense.
