New Around Here
Hi all, I am looking to upgrade from AXE-11000.Its worked ok for what I needed but I think its time to upgrade .I use it as my main router with the Rt-Ac68u connected as a wired Aimesh node.

Looking retire my Rt-Ac68u.Take Master/Main Router (axe-11000).Turn it to wired mesh node to witch ever new main router I pickup.

You’ll still have firmware mismatch limitations in AiMesh. Your new router will be perhaps running 3006 firmware, your old router is locked on 3004. Not all the new main router features will propagate the older node. Something to keep in mind and set realistic expectations.

I thought about that.I will also replace the axe-11000.I really can't do both rite now so I was thinking of buying a really good main router then in the near future pick up a good mesh node for witch ever main router I pick up.

Good luck with the really good current BE-class main router and 3006 firmware. You may want to wait a bit before making the jump. Not everything works as advertised at the moment. Read user feedback first.

Good time to take a look at TPLink Omada and Ubiquiti while you are thinking about changing/upgrading. Work on defining what your needs are now and likely in the near future of 1-2 years. Forget wifi7 for the moment. 6 is a sweet spot for many, both for cost and realistic wifi needs. Avoid G.A.S. and speed test bragging rights. 100 Mbit/s still satisfies most needs.
