Upgrading from the RT-AC87U

It seems that the RT-AC87U is no long supported by the ASUSWRT-MERLIN firmware. I've had such good success with this Router and the Merlin Firmware. Would anyone have suggestions on which router to upgrade to? Thank you.

Consider the AC86U or AX86U.
