USB 2.0 vs 3.0 wifi adapter question

I have a question and/or theory about USB wi-fi adapters;

I know USB 3.0 is much faster then 2.0 (almost 10x) and can delivery almost twice the power that USB 2.0 can to a connected device but can that increased power overheat a connected device like a USB wifi adapter (general known for getting hot) and create instability on how the device operates? While in turn the adapter would actually be more stable connected to a USB 2.0 port?

Your device will draw exactly the same power. It's the same device.

I know USB 3.0 is much faster then 2.0

USB 2.0 may limit the throughput to about 200Mbps. Faster 2x2 AC and above WiFi adapters need USB 3.0.
