New Around Here
Hi everyone

I'm currently using transmission to download to my external harddrives. I set up a smb server and I stream from those HDD's. I'm running out of space and I don't have any free usb ports left on my router.

Is it possible to attach multiple external HDD's to a USB hub?
If possible, is there any configuration to do or will they automatically be mounted?

Also will I need a powered USB hub or not (my external hard drives have their own power supplies)?

Thanks!

If you're running the 374.40 version of the RMerlin firmware, you should be able to use a USB hub for your drives. An externally powered version is recommended.

You may also have to try a few specific models to see which one works for your router and disks.
