I have been using an RT-AC3100 for about 1 year. I cannot get a good signal in a part of my home, so I hooked up an old Apple Airport Extreme Router and used it as a wired bridge (I have an ethernet connection at a perfect location). The Apple has started to act strange and I need to keep rebooting it to get it to stay networked.
I would like to get an Access Point that I can wire in at the location and have it reliably extend my network. I looked at Asus products, but I did not see an inexpensive Asus AP that offered an ethernet/wired connection as an option.
I found found this one from TPLink - the AP300. It is a good price, fast enough for this location, and has an AP mode that uses the same SSID (which I think I would prefer).
Anyone have any idea if the TPlink AP will play nicely with the RT-AC3100?
Thanks!
