Flashed over 9.0.0.6.102_4856 and resulted in repeated reboots. Did WPS Reset and configured from scratch, so far working fine.

I flashed over 22525 and no issues whatsoever.
I have to add: I don't use it any more than router+wifi. No "AI" features, nor gaming or qos. All that's not needed is disable. So a simple config.

Still having the same issue with AiMesh, I need to disable the smart connect in order to connect to RT-AX88U

I have the exact setup: router an AXE1600 and an AX88U as node.
And I have no such problems. Sometimes I noticed some client tend to stay a bit too much attached to router instead of moving to the node. But I kinda blame the clients - both are stubborn 2.4 only devices. My phone a Pixel 5 and my laptop are always moving to the strongest signal. I didn't change the smart connect rules - I believe a couple of releases back they were going to default and I never tried to change it since.

They still with the same bug from the first release on game radar, the AU IP it's not reachable.

Can anyone try to run
Code:
ping 103.4.115.248

Upgraded from Merlin 388.2, did factory reset, put in all my ip reservations, wireless settings etc.
Running flawlessly.

Hi cc666,

Do you have any update for me on whether more than 2 concurrent VPN sessions are possible with this router & firmware?

WireGuard preferred but I’d also be happy to about OpenVPN sessions.

First post, looking for some help. My searches always bring me here. I have an xt8 setup with the main and 1 node. HW v1. The past 3 firmware versions I have installed all result in the same, after 30 minutes or so the node loses connection, blinking blue light on the front. I can power cycle it and it usually comes back but then repeats the disconnect/blue light again 30 minutes later. I use the app to update these and do nothing more settings wise. No resets or anything, just update and go. The update itself always completes with no issues. I do not change anything in settings, I use all defaults as far as how the units are setup.

The only way to fix it for me is to manually backdate. I always go back to 3.0.0.4.386_49873. This version works without issues, no disconnects, no blinking blue light. Anything after that that I have tried (_22525, _23012 and 1 more that I forget) all do the same thing.

Am I missing something here? Should I be doing something differently when I update? I always wait a few days after a new firmware is released before I try it just in case. In most cases here it seems things are ok.

Start with factory rest of ALL units and set up again.

what is up with this router, like the GTAX 11000 before it no new firmware with latest stuff, the asus top of line products are allways hard to get latest updates...

Agree. Eight months now on last release.

Yea its the same story with all top of the line routers, the only good thing is that this latest firmware is stable.

asus firmware development has stopped for months. Other types did not receive an update either. Work has completely stopped

Take a look again, there has been three or four threads posted in these forums over the past 10 days that are new firmware releases just issued by Asus for various models.

I understand.
Top model not supported. Most expensive model. Sad!

You would think as stated above that the most expensive models would get updates regularly but this isn't the case. Simple Vlan features you think should be stable by now, isn't. I would be leaving ASUS for good. Heading over to Ubiquiti

This router just dropped . https://www.asus.com/networking-iot...utions/asus-expertwifi/asus-expertwifi-ebr63/ and has some nice features that pro users would love to have.

Check out this video :

Interface is nice. Spending top dollars on ASUS products for trash support is not a good look.
