VLAN tagging using Tomato on RT-AC66u

tcn

Occasional Visitor
Hi,

Has anyone tried to use VLAN tagging with Tomato firmware on an AC66u unit? Are there any issues?

Thanks,

tcn

YOu know my reply to this question.

Shibby 115 new SDK version VLAN trunk and tagging doesnt seem to work at all

Just tagging VLAN with VID35 in order to use tomato with my bell FTTH and it craps out.

No more dhcp on lan ports
PPPoE doesnt establish connection (tag doesnt apply?)

Only wireless continues to respond.

dd-wrt has a gui for vlan tagging, tried that ?

TCN and my ISP requiers all internet traffic to be tagged with VID35 and IPTV traffic with VID36 and both are transmitted on the same port. So not only VLAN tagging is required but trunking also

I am having an issue like this as well. I need to trunk 4 tagged vlan's back through the WAN or use a gig port. The trunjk option that I see in posts and youtube doesn't exist in my rt-ac66u. I have tried version 137 and 138. I have also tried it with dd-wrt and had issues. Does anyone have any direct knowledge how to set up the trunk and then the tagged vlans? The tagged vlans will all be wifi 2.4 or 5G and one gig port with one of the 5G tags for a printer.
