Vodafone Uk Fibre - ac66u

Marvelll

New Around Here
Hi

I managed to get my vodafone UK fibre logins, but I cant connect via my bt modem/ac66u. I get isp dhcp doesn't function.

The funny thing is I had it working until I did latest fw update and factory reset.

My manual clientid (option 61) is set up just like for sky (my old provider)

Manual vendor class option is new to me but I think has something to do with dhcp. Could this be something I need to edit ?

Firmware 380.62_1

Thanks

Well I absolutely dont believe it but after about 100 attempts at connecting using the quick internet setup its connected.... wtf...
Ive noticed the mac address box had a mac ive not seen before.

Has anyone any clues why it just connected ? After hours of trying.

I have log files if anyone fancies a look?

Thanks

Most likely, nothing on your end did anything (except the time you waited).

If you could power down the modem/ONT for at least 20 minutes to an hour, then the DHCP would work properly (they'd know on their end that there was nothing connected there for a while).

I had a customer on a cable ISP that had to call in and have them issue a second (public) IP for them (no charge). It didn't matter how long the modem was unplugged for, the call was necessary.

The point here is don't mess with the router. It is the ISP that is controlling that end of things. ;)

I see, thanks for the reply.

I hope I dont need to ring them for any support as they dont support none vodafone routers and you have to beg for your logins basically.
