New Around Here
I'm getting an error 619 when trying to connect to the vpn service on my N66U from a windows 8 client located remotely on my university's network. I'm able to telnet into port 1723. I did notice these messages in the router log:
Feb 14 12:31:26 pptp[968]: pppd 2.4.5 started by user, uid 0
Feb 14 12:31:26 pptp[968]: Connect: ppp10 <--> pptp (remote ip)
Feb 14 12:31:56 pptp[968]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Feb 14 12:31:56 pptp[968]: Connection terminated.
Feb 14 12:31:56 kernel: Interface ppp10 doesn't exist
Feb 14 12:31:56 pptp[968]: Modem hangup
I know little to nothing about VPN, PPTP, etc. I'm not able to telnet to GRE port 47, however. I wasn't sure if that would be necessary for the VPN built into the N66U.
Thanks
edit (changed some client side setting, same error, more log though):
