I've never tried any kind of router based vpn before. But I was wondering if it's possible to set it up so that you can play lan games over the internet. I've used tungle before to accomplish this, but since my router has a boat load of vpn features on it. I figured I would ask and see what was needed if possible.
A lot of the VPN settings on the router are beyond me. I'm going to have to read into how all of it is suppose to work, but before I do I want to know if this is possible before I even try it. It's all I'll use it for anyways so I'm not going to bother with it if not.
I'm thinking it won't work like this because from a quick look at the settings, it seems the clients on the vpn server will be on a different subnet. So any games that don't allow you to input a direct ip and only has a "search for lan game" button won't find anything.
Any input is welcome, I'd really like to know if this can be accomplished. Thanks a lot!
