The EBG15 is the top most router serving as DHCP for the LAN and has the OpenVPN server available starting at 10.8.0.0. I have a USB drive plugged in and without the VPN active we can map the USB drive as it is discoverable. However once the client connects to the VPN the USB drive is not discoverable thus we cannot access it.
I saw a reference to putting the VPN on the same subnet as the LAN but keeping the ranges unique. For example DHCP would be 192.168.50.2 with the pool ending at say 90. Then, the VPN server could be set to 192.168.50.100.
However the OpenVPN Advanced Settings "sniffs out" the potential conflict and refuses to generate the configuration.
Is there an alternative solution such as a static route and where would this be set to what?
