All of the pre-literature said that walmart was selling an RAX40. This was a joint scam run by Netgear and Walmart to deceive and cheat consumers. The RAX35 has no USB port although the netgear site said it did at the time, and the internal specs not posted on techinfodepot. Unknown at this point in time, but suspected to be identical to the RAX40. The RAX 35,40,80, and 120 can all be telnetted from the lan side, and probably from the WAN side, too. Easily hacked, as most netgears are.
There may be some minor interest in upgrading the RAX40 to open source software in the future, but availability of the Intel wifi sdk will be a difficulty. There is only one developer who can do it at present. no OSS interest if no usb port.
The RAX35 will be basically worthless in a few months, with the RAX40 having some residual value. Best to return rax35 to Walmart while you still can. It's a worthless scam item
