question, is there any plans to add a more fleshed out port forwarding ui?
i ask, as i am used to openwrt and dd-wrt and find it sometimes a bit frustrating that asus has left this dumbed down so we cant add ports manually instead of just games or programs in its listings :)

What router and firmware are you using? Is the router configured for Wireless Router mode or some other mode? Generally the port forwarding section is located on the WAN > Virtual Server / Port Forwarding page. Set Enable Port Forwarding to On, then select the Add Profile button to display the Quick Select and Custom Configuration dialog box. Example from a RT-AC68U running 3.0.0.4.386_49703, Custom Configuration section highlighted:
