Any way to access the full webui remotely? Mainly I am looking to view web history from the adaptive qos page when I am away from home. Appreciate any input.

Do not allow web access from the WAN. See the threads on the router hacks.

If you need remote access, set up one of the 2 OpenVPN servers and access your router securely.

Thanks for the reply, I am a bit of a newbie with this. Is there a "how to" on setting up the OpenVPN servers?

Not that I know of, and, unless they are quite recent, they could be misleading at best, but it has been made as easy as possible nowadays. You will need a dynamic DNS address, but you can get that from Asus - asuscomm.com. That DDNS address effectively gives you a permanent home address even when your ISP changes your public IP address once or twice a week.


You need to have a good long look at the OpenVPN server pages in the webui and try to get familiar with things. One or 2 recent posts may help eg https://www.snbforums.com/threads/what-is-best-secure-setup-for-openvpn.37342/


When you have your DDNS address and have set all your settings, you'll export the .ovpn file from your router and import it into the OpenVPN app/program on your client device and you're done!

Note: it's OpenVPN server you'll be using, not OpenVPN client.
