Weird Address And Screen When Attempt to Sign in to AC3100

Went to sign in to my AC3100 running latest Merlin firmware with Chrome using bookmarked address 192.168.1.1 like I always do and got the following results:

This is after the normal sign in screen and entering password

address bar shows: http://192.168.1.1/result_of_get_changed_status_QIS.asp

The following was on screen

" function wanlink_status() { return 1;} function wanlink_statusstr() { return 'Connected';} function wanlink_type() { return 'dhcp';} function wanlink_ipaddr() { return '192.168.254.11';} function wanlink_netmask() { return '255.255.255.0';} function wanlink_gateway() { return '192.168.254.254';} function wanlink_dns() { return '192.168.254.254';} function wanlink_lease() { return 14400;} function wanlink_expires() { return 994;} function is_private_subnet() { return '3';} function wanlink_xtype() { return '';} function wanlink_xipaddr() { return '0.0.0.0';} function wanlink_xnetmask() { return '0.0.0.0';} function wanlink_xgateway() { return '0.0.0.0';} function wanlink_xdns() { return '';} function wanlink_xlease() { return 0;} function wanlink_xexpires() { return 0;} wanstate = 2; wansbstate = 0; wanauxstate = 0; var autodet_plc_state = ""; var wans_dualwan = 'wan none'.split(" "); if(wans_dualwan != ""){ var ewan_index = wans_dualwan.indexOf("wan"); var autodet_state = (ewan_index == 0)? '': ''; var autodet_auxstate = (ewan_index == 0)? '0': ''; } else{ var autodet_state = ''; var autodet_auxstate = '0'; } parent.allUsbStatusArray = [[["1", "storage", "480"]]]; var link_wan_status = "1"; var link_wan1_status = "0"; var qtn_ready_t = ""; sim_state = ""; g3err_pin = ''; usb_modem_act_auth = ''; pin_remaining_count = ''; puk_remaining_count = ''; first_wanstate = 2; first_wansbstate = 0; first_wanauxstate = 0; second_wanstate = 0; second_wansbstate = 0; second_wanauxstate = 0; usb_modem_auto_lines = ''; usb_modem_auto_running = ''; usb_modem_auto_spn = ''; var link_internet = '2'; var wan0_realip_state = '0'; var wan1_realip_state = '0';"

Say "what the HECK" or something similar. Try again with the same results. Shut down Chrome, try Firefox and sign in without a problem. Sign out of router go back to Chrome and try to sign in again and have no problem. Everything appears to be working fine, I never lost connection to internet.

Anybody have a clue as to what might have caused this? Chrome hiccup? or something else. Anyway, everything appears to be OK now but have never had this happen before with any router.

This is an old random issue with httpd. I have seen it maybe 4 or 5 times only, and have no idea what triggers it. This one will have to be tracked down and resolved by Asus.

Thanks for the reply. Once I figured out that nothing was wrong with the router it was more of an interest in what might have caused it. I have used Asus routers for years and had never seen this or read anything about it.

The router is a newly acquired "Refurbished" router and my first thought was that it had bricked or had some other major problem.

Again, thanks for the info.
