Hi,
I have observed that if I am connecting to a server, let's say facebook and suddenly facebook is down, my connection will, after awhile be down as well, my internet connection would drop, wifi would drop.
Possible speculation:
My internet is reattempting to connect to the downed server, until itself becomes down. (some sort of hogging)
Has anyone encountered this experience?
It happened yesterday when I was playing dota 2 with two other friends, different ISPs and country, suddenly Dota 2's game coordinator/server says 'high load', then the dota 2 server actually went offline, both of my friend's connection actually went down. Mine hasn't yet, was able to browse the web and after awhile when the dota 2's server is back, my connection went down.
It seems to be some kind of 'hogging' somewhere, either the server hogs my connection, my isp hogs the connection, my router hogs the connection or my wifi hogs the connection.
Any possible tweak in the router to fix this issue?
Am using Asus RT-AC87U router and latest asus merlin firmware.
