It has been a moment since I made a post, as I have been busy with a lot of things including life. I always think hearing about one's tech and what they use are cool and wanted to provide an update on what I use. Mainly my network is setup for gaming, NAS, and Home and Work Network with some playing around with.
Cable Modem - Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 with single 2.5G Port
Firewall - Opnsense 25.7.7 (Custom built with Ryzen 5700G/ASrock B550M, 16GB DDR4-3600Mhz (running at DDR4-3200Mhz currently), Dual 10Gb Intel X550-T2 NIC, Quad 1Gb Intel I350-T4 NIC, single Realtek 2.5G onboard NIC (Cable Modem connected)).
TP-Link 28 Port 1Gb Managed Switch (Preparing to upgrade within the next 6mnths-1yr to a 2.5G multigig Switch with at least a couple 10Gb ports)
TP-Link Omada EAP773 BE11000 Tri-Band Wireless AP on first floor. Looking to add a 2nd EAP773 or the EAP783 BE22000 on 3rd floor.
Media Streaming and Steam Cache Server - (Currently running on Ryzen 2700, 16GB DDR4-3600Mhz, Dual 16GB Seagate Exo SATA drives, 1TB SATA SSD, and 2TB SSD M.2 Cache drive, 10Gb NIC, running on TrueNAS)
5 Port 2.5G Switch in the living room to connect various game systems and TV.
Sodola 9 Port Managed 2.5G connected by a 10G link and the first VLAN setup in my home gaming/office area. (2 ports for gaming (My main rig is connected to one of the ports, 1 port for hard wiring the printer, 2 ports for the office/work laptops docked, 1 port eventually for VOIP phone so far). I have the switch magnetically mounted under my desk out of the way.
Have some IOT devices and other equipment, including smart bulbs connected via WiFi.
Just figured I would share as I get back into the swing of things.
