What is up with Promise?

Are they dead? I have a NS4300N and I am looking to extend my raid setup with two additional drives but the last Compatibility list was published 10 months ago...!

Is anyone running the NS4300N with WD RE3 drives? They are not on the list.

As you can see from the NS4300 thread and other forum postings, Promise isn't really a top-tier NAS manufacturer.
