New Around Here
I've been having issues with Parental Control. Basically, when the Time Control hits, it will not allow any NEW connections on that device, but existing ones continue to work fine. e.g. If my son is playing a game and the time block hits, he can keep playing that game forever, but can't go to a website or play a different online game. From what my research tells me, this is related to "NAT Acceleration", which I believe is supposed to be at LAN -> Switch Control, but it isn't. The only things present there are "Jumbo Frame, Spanning-Tree Protocol, and Bonding/ Link Aggregation". The Parental Control Time Control pages even have a link to NAT Acceleration, but it just takes me to the Switch Control page.

I have a RT-AX88U running Merlin 384.19.

My son plays on a LAN connection to the RT-AX88U.

Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

HW Acceleration has been superseded by Runner and Flow Cache on the newer router platforms which is why there is no option for it any more. There is no option to manually change these.

If you have 250Mbps or less of bandwidth, you can install CakeQoS-Merlin and it will disable HWA. I run cake so mine are disabled.
