Which is actually faster: WNDR3700 or WRT610N?

I realize that SNB does reviews, however their transfers seems to be only 1 MB in size compared to sending files that would take a while e.g. 500 MB. Can the people with experience from either post their WAN results from one computer to another?

While the WNDR3700 does well under theoretical conditions, Tom's hardware was hinting that it did worse than the WRT610N under practical conditions.

Thanks

Toms has gotten so bad over the last couple of years with reviewing the same peoples' hardware that pay them for advertising, and the blatently questionable results they post for them that i dont even read that site any more.

The file sizes used in 802.11n router tests are usually 3 to 5 MB. But the published numbers are the average of those transfers for one minute.

You said "WAN". Are you questioning the routing tests or wireless tests?

Both, I'd like to see sustained speeds over a longer period of time e.g. 20 minutes. It's quite possible that the router will some how get bogged down and start to slow down after a certain amount of time. An example of this is that I've used Windows 7 backup on a desktop computer with the external drive connected to the router. The transfer rate started out with 6 Mbps (normally 2 MB/s write to the drive and 5 MB/s read from the drive (1 TB NTFS)), which is terrible in itself, but slowly decreased to 3 Mbps over hours.
