Which router could fulfill these needs? ASUS RT-AX88U, ASUS RT-AX58U or other?

I would like an advice on what router could handle the setup below. The setup is not set in stone but should give an overview what I would like to achieve. The candidates are:
  • ASUS RT-AX88U
  • ASUS RT-AX58U
  • other?

Thank you for your help

For local VLANs and inter-VLAN routing on a consumer all-in-one router, you'd need a model compatible with at least one of the third-party firmwares that support such features (ie. DD-WRT, Tomato or OpenWRT), as no consumer stock router OS natively supports VLANs.

That, or simply purchase a firewall with out-of-the-box support for such features, such as a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter, Mikrotik RB, Cisco RV or pfSense appliance, then run a discrete SMB-grade wireless AP with native VLAN support.
