I have both tried a couple of 3700's setup in a WDS fashion. Using OEM firmware...

The baked in WDS setup for the 3700 was terrible. The AP's would connect and then disconnect from the main AP.

With that said, I may flash one of the 3700's with DDWRT as a client bridge.

I do need to order 2 more dual band N units to use as bridges too. Which ones would you guys recommend for throughput and performance - to be used in client AP bridges with stock OEM firmware of flashed to DDWRT firmware to be used as client access bridges

Can you provide more details of your setup and what you are trying to do? Why not just buy a premade bridge? Do you need WDS?

Excluding DD-WRT/Tomato, I've yet to see a consumer wifi router that has a bridge mode. WiFi bridges and game adapters often have a choice of bridge mode or access point mode.
