Why is the 2.4ghz throughout so comparatively poor on the RT-AC68U?

I bought this router and then found this site, I was reading the review and noticed how much lower this was than the comparison routers? Can someone explain this to me?

The review says this: "The RT-AC68U clearly has a problem with this benchmark, which I assume ASUS will be able to straighten out via a firmware update"

Was this ever fixed in firmware update?

I love the detail on the reviews so thanks to whoever does those!

I guess it must have been. I've just done a test with my AC68U and got ~115Mbps on 2.4GHz (WLAN to LAN).

It may not have been anything ASUS fixed. This effect seems to be due to the benchmark method and may not occur in real world use or with different devices.

Icing is it just got the mesh update, that is cool.
