New Around Here
I am looking to get a wifi card for my desktop or powerline networking.

Right now I have a powerline tplink 600 Mbps but I they are connecting around 200 and thru put is around 7 MB/s.

This computer house most of my media to play through out the house. My son also uses the computer for fortnight.

I am wondering if I should get something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H74VKZU/?tag=snbforums-20

or a wifi card? Any recommendations on both?

Thanks

I would suggest neither of those options at those prices. :)

I would look for an RT-AC56U if you can still find one, or any other Asus 2 Antennae, 2 Stream router that you can use as a Media Bridge.

Much faster throughput and more responsive than any powerline adaptors you can buy. Also, a much better solution, IMO, to the very limited, single-use option of a 'wifi card' too. :)

The RT-AC1200G may be an even better option than the older RT-AC56U's I have had so much luck with with the external antennae, even if the RT-AC56U looks sleeker. ;)

I do have an Asus ac1900 router .I assume that would be great to use .

'Great' should be an understatement. :)

Which main router will you connect it to?
