Wifi Drops (Non-Stock, Stock, AIMesh)

Just wanted to post this more of an fiy...

My current set up is RT-AX88u with Merlin 384.13, and RT-AC88U 3.0.0.4.384_81116 (Stock).

I'm running the RT-AX88u in AIMesh mode with the RT-AC88U as a node.

I originally tried to have both units running Merlin with AIMesh enabled, but the RT-AC88U Node would always fail.
Once I switched the RT-AC88U to the stock firmware, it was able to connect as a node. All seems to work well, but I some devices constantly get drops with authentication connection errors.
To get them back on the network I have to reboot the router (RT-AX88u) or turn off my device Wifi and turn it back on.

I would prefer to run both devices with Merlins firmware, but this has been the only way I could get the node to connect.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this type of set up? (I know, very open question) or have any ideas how I could troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

I had authentication error on my 86U if I enable Protected Management Frame. It usually happens in 12-24 hours after I reboot the router. Only way to fix it is to reboot router or disable then enable WiFi on the router. Disabling PMF fixes all the issues.

I just check may setting, and I did already have it disabled. It seems that may not be the issue. :(
Thanks for the response!
