WiFi hotspot for hotel

Occasional Visitor
Hi, I have task for building network for a hotel I'm working for. The hotel has strong and thick walls with armature, which make signal looses very quickly. I'm considering for a ceiling-mount points, but from what I've read so far Ubiquiti are not so reliable or maybe depends on model. So I'm thinking to buy RB1100AHx2 - http://routerboard.com/RB1100AHx2 as WLAN controller or software on a PC - The Dude

and
these routers as a ceiling-mounted RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN http://reloadbg.com/product/395/

I don't know if these will be OK and reliable enough?
Thank you.

Suggest you hire a competent pro. THere's a large security question here too.

I would not leave this task to routerboard or Ubiquiti, you need something "enterprise" class that is reliable - not something you will have to reboot daily/weekly.

High end: Cisco

Affordable end: EnGenius EAP600 or EAP350

Hospitality Networks - e.g. Hotel WiFi...

There are a number of providers that offer "network in a box" - let them know how many rooms, and they'll size the solution accordingly to a level of service.

Also most of them can provide a guest landing page (room number/name for example), technical support, content filtering, etc...

While it is possible to roll-one's-own - not recommended...

OK, thank you, I forgot to tell you I have CCNA, but this is unfortunately not enough. I read some things from CCNA Wireless, but I think I'll need something more to design such a Wi-Fi network. Do you know some more advanced courses?

Second, last week I installed TP-Link WDR3600 in corridor on one of the floors. I've made couple of measurements, but unfortunately signal can't reach everywhere. I think that below -60dBm will have issues. I've consulted with a professional and he told me to install 1-2, maybe 3 AP on every floor. Comparing WDR3600 with OpenWRT to Engenius EAP600 do you think second will have better coverage and with 5GHz I'll have some advantages? Right now I can't see dual-band devices I don't lnwo if there is tention to make dual-band adapters for laptops? I read good opinions on newegg, not so good about EAP350 and not to mention some like EAP300 have Realtek hardware which drops connections quickly and situation with Apple is absolutely...

Also Engenius EAP600 doesn't have EZ controller support is there any other software? I need to be sure if it's compatible with Cisco SG200 PoE switches or HP PS1810.

Thank you.
