WIFI on/off button

is there a way to de-activate completely the WIFI on/off button on RT-AC87U (Merlin 380.64_2)?

If so desired make the switch inoperative by cutting a wire or two from the switch.

Mr. Spock was last seen cutting a red wire on a suspicious device. Both have since disappeared.
In other news: Some windows are broken and a loud explosion was heard near the Spock residence.

Pretty sure it's soldered on the pcboard and not wired.

Only way would be for someone to modify the source code to make it ignore the button, and compile his own firmware with the change.
